Why be a member?

Wound management is a diverse specialty.  The aetiology and complex nature of many wounds requires clinicians who are involved in the management of people with wounds to maintain their knowledge, skill and competency in wound management practices.

Membership of AWMA through State/Territory Associations , can assist individuals to promote and maintain an evidence-based approach to wound management.

Membership of your State/Territory Association offers forums within which to debate wound management issues and learn of new treatment regimens. Through State/Territory membership there are opportunities to contribute to wound management issues from a national perspective. As a member of AWMA you will automatically receive Wound Practice and Research the Journal of AWMA.

AWMA membership offers many opportunities for establishing professional links with clinicians with expertise in wound management or with other organisations nationally and internationally who have similar goals via the contact page and links of this website.
