AWMA – Australian Capital Territory
AWMA Australian Capital Territory is the Australian Wound Management Association in the ACT. We are a diverse group of health professionals, whose common interest is the care for our patients with acute and chronic wounds. The association provides education that focuses on a collaborative approach to practice in both wound assessment and management that is supported by validated research and/ or best practice.

Nurse of the Year – May 2015
Ann Marie Dunk was awarded the 2015 ACT Nurse of the Year.
On behalf of AWMA (ACT) we would like to congratulate Ann Marie our Vice President/Ag President for receiving this prestigious award.
Ann Marie is the Clinical Nurse Consultant from the Tissue Viability Unit at Canberra Hospital. She has led important work that has resulted in reductions to the numbers of hospital acquired pressure injuries at Canberra hospital.
Well done Ann Marie.
