Wound Management State Associations

Wound care is rapidly developing worldwide. The Queensland Wound Care Association Inc. (QWCA Inc.) aims to ensure that members are given the latest information on wound management.

QWCA’s Aims and Objectives:

To provide and increase awareness, knowledge and application of effective wound care by:

  1. Establishing a network of persons with interest, knowledge and expertise in wound care
  2. Providing current information resources to health professionals
  3. Developing education strategies for health professionals
  4. Facilitating and encouraging research in wound care

Membership Benefits:

  • Receive “Chronicle” – a regular newsletter from QWCA
  • Reciprocal membership to Australian Wound Management Association (AWMA)
  • Receive “Wound Practice and Research (formally Primary Intention)” – a quarterly journal from AWMA (Please allow 12-16 weeks for delivery of your first issue as it is published quarterly)

Membership Information and Application

Membership to the QWCA is open to individual health care providers at varying levels and also open to organisations involved in health care delivery and those in the manufacturing and supply of wound management products.
