The Australian Wound Management
Research Foundation
The Australian Wound Management Research Foundation (AWMRF) has been established to support Australian wound research via the awarding of scholarships and grants that can support clinical research trials including random controlled trials. The Foundation is non profit making.
The following links contain further information about the Trust, including the objectives, current grants available and past grant recipients.
The Trust has developed objectives in relation to wound management research and seeks to fund research from the fields of medical, nursing, science and veterinary services.
The Objectives are:
Fund research and assist others in research into the causes, treatment and consequences of wounds which incorporate disorders of the healing process;
- Promote the interests of people with wounds;
- Co-operate with all other organisations whose activities are of long term benefit to people with wounds and with whom co-operation is useful;
- Provide funding for research to introduce and evaluate new forms of treatment for wound disorders;
- Provide funding for research to improve and enhance the effectiveness for current forms of wound treatment;
- Provide funding for research elating to the collection and dissemination of information;
- Provide funding for research into methods which are relevant to the prevention of wound disorders;
- Provide funding for research relating to the collection and dissemination of information and education relating to causes, conditions, and consequences of disorders of wound healing.
The AWMRF would be pleased to receive monetary donations and bequests to fund future research projects.
