Q1. I wish to advertise a wound course or conference.

Q1. I wish to advertise a wound course or conference.

A1. AWMA will advertise most courses or conferences that are of relevance to its members free of charge. AWMA will consider requests for advertising courses conducted by the Wound Industry (those involved in the manufacture and/or distribution of wound and related products) on a case by case basis. You will be advised if there are concerns with your application.

To advertise a course or conference you will need to send the following information to the Website Manager:
• Course/Conference Name:
• Hosting Organisation:
• Date/s: (if no set date advise further):
• Time:
• Location (i.e. City): (advise if distance education, and location of base)
• Venue:
• Brief Conference / Course Synopsis:
• Target Audience:
• Contact Person/s and Details:
• Include relevant Website Links (if applicable)
• Also include copies (PDF preferable) of full the conference/course information and registration documents if you require them to be included on the AWMA Website.

It is the responsibility of the hosting organisation to ensure that their information is correct and up to date. Old conferences and courses will be periodically removed from the site.

Q2. I wish to place a news item or other information on the Website.

A2. Only news of relevance (non commercial) to the AWMA Members will be placed on the website.

You need to apply in writing to The AWMA Secretary or Website Manager. Information should include:
• Your Organisation (if on behalf of a State/Territory Association specify).
• Your name and position.
• Contact Person/s and Details:
• Title of News Item:
• Brief Introduction to News Item of up to 25 words:
• Main body of the article:
• When you would like the news item displayed:
• When you would like the news item removed from the site:
• Also include any additional information you require linked to the news item e.g. Website Address and corresponding documents (PDF format preferred):

It is the responsibility of the requester to ensure that their information is correct and up to date. Old news items will be periodically removed from the site.

Q3. I wish to place a link (non Wound Industry) to another Website on your Site.

A3. Only links non Wound Industry related and of relevance to the AWMA Members will be placed on the General Website Links Page.

Wound Industry (i.e. an organisation involved in the manufacture and/or distribution of wound and related products) links are managed under a separate arrangement. Refer to next answer for more information.

You need to apply in writing to the AWMA Website Manager. Information should include:
• Your Organisation
• Your name and position.
• Contact Person/s and Details:
• Website Address:
• A brief synopsis of your Organisation and Website:

Please Note AWMA is currently reviewing its policies in relation to websites related to commercial entities. Applications from such entities will be considered on a case by case basis.

Q4. I wish to place a Wound Industry or Company link on your site.

A4. Links for the Wound Industry (that is organisations involved in the manufacture and/or distribution of wound and related products) are managed under a special arrangement.

The Wound Industry Companies are provided with their own “Company Links” page which allows them to display a greater presence on the AWMA Website:
• Please Note: that this opportunity is open to all organisations who wish a greater presence on the AWMA Website.

Each Wound Industry Companies generously sponsor the link to their own website. Sponsorship is one way that fosters partnership between our multidisciplinary professional organisation and industry to help all parties achieve the goal of better, accessible wound management.
