There are four streams of basic courses for which these criteria have been developed- they are
It is intended that educators delivering training programs based around these subject areas would include the minimum content specified in the templates developed by the sub committee. A major benefit of this process is ensuring that the attendees are quite clear about the level of training being presented and advertising about the advanced or fundamental knowledge to be presented is accurate. When those seeking RCNA endorsement of their programs submit their wound related information the assessors assigned by RCNA will use the templates provided by AWMA to judge the minimum criteria being taught. If endorsement is approved the wound related program will be cobranded with RCNA and AWMA logos. If criteria is not met and no valid reason for inclusion is not provided then endorsement will not be given and the educator would be asked to review the content of their training program to align with the minimum training requirements.
