The Australian Wound Management Association (AWMA) has established a number of awards; one of which is the AWMA Fellow.

The AWMA Fellowship is a prestigious award that recognises outstanding and significant service to the Australian Wound Management Association and wound management within Australia and the Asia/Pacific region.

AWMA Fellowship nominations open Thursday 10 September 2009 and close
Friday 18 December 2009 (extended).

The AWMA Fellowship/s will be awarded at the Association’s conference in
Perth Western Australia, 24 -27 March 2010.

Generally, no more than five AWMA Fellows are inducted biennially.

Nomination Process

Nominations will be accepted from any person (but not a self nomination).
To be considered, the nominee must fulfil at least two of the specified AWMA Fellowship criteria. Nominators need to ensure that the nominee meets the stipulated criteria. Nominees do not have to be AWMA members.

The following must be included:

  • A completed nomination form
  • A summary of how the nominee fulfils the selection criteria
  • The nominee’s Curriculum Vitae
  • Two (2) letters of professional support for the nominee
