2008 Comfeel Literary Award Winners

2008 Comfeel Literary Awards

Comfeel Literary Awards recognise outstanding authorship and contribution to the AWMA Journal Wound Practice and Research (Formerly Primary Intention). For consideration in the Comfeel Literary Award the author must be the first named author of the manuscript and while not an absolute requirement it is preferable that they be members of the Australian Wound Management Association.

The Comfeel Literary Awards for 2008 were awarded at the AWMA Annual General Meeting in Brisbane in May 2009. Each primary author of the winning article in the 3 categories received a $1,000 cheque and a certificate. The standards were very high and the winners have truly excelled with their work.

The winners are:

1. Original research article
McLennan SV, Min D & Yue DK. Matrix metalloproteinases and their roles in poor wound healing in diabetes 16(3) Page 116-121.

2. Literature review

3. Case study
