Aaxis Pacific New Investigator Award
The oral presentation judged to meet the criteria for the award Aaxis Pacific New Investigator Award and presented during the 7th AWMA Conference was awarded to
Margo Asimus
Introducing an innovative wound management model into community health.
The prize is a complimentary registration to the 8th AWMA Conference March 2008 in Perth WA

AWMA Conference Awards
Awards were offered for presentations either oral or poster during the 7th AWMA Conference May 2008. Congratulations to the following winners for your outstanding contributions.

KCI Poster Award
The poster judged to meet the criteria for the best poster displayed during the 2008 7th AWMA Conference was awared to:
Kathleen Finlayson, Institute of health & Biomedical Innovation Queensland University of Technology for the poster titled
'The role of self-care activities in preventing the recurrence of venous leg ulcers: A cross-sectional survey.'
The prize is a complimentary registration to the 8th AWMA Conference March 2008 in Perth WA

AWMA acknowledges KCI's continuing support of the KCI Poster Award since 2002


College of Nursing Award
The oral presentation by Naomi Higgins titled 'Diverting disasters, fostering innovation and inspiring dreams in the australian rural health setting' was awarded the College of Nursing Award which is a free registration into any Continuing Distance Education program at the College of Nursing valued at $990.00.
This was the first time that this award has been presented at an AWMA conference
