Wound Management NewsAustralian Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel
Call for Sub Committee Nominations:
Research, Policy, Education

The Governance committee of the Australian Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel invites applications from interested AWMA members for positions on the Education, Policy or Research subcommittees of the APUAP. Their will be six positions for members on each of the subcommittees.

The application should identify the subcommittee for which you are applying and be no more than 250 words in length. A Curriculum Vitae of no more than 2 pages should be included.
The application should address the relevant criteria for the subcommittee for which you are applying.

Research
Criteria for selection of members for the Research Sub-Committee:
• Experience as a member on a research team in at least 3 (three) projects.
• Experience in conducting environmental scans that identify gaps in research
• Experience in research applications, grant writing and ethics processes
• Knowledge and experience of research processes including data base management and research analysis.
• Must have a track record in research projects in a health related field
• Knowledge of NHMRC guideline development processes and skills in critiquing levels of evidence
• Published author nationally in the field of wound management and/or pressure ulcers
• Current role involves practicing, teaching, research or leadership in wound management.

Policy
Criteria for selection of members for the Policy Sub-Committee:
• Experience in policy and/or guideline development in pressure ulcer management or in a health related field
• Sound knowledge of NHMRC guideline development processes
• Published author nationally in the field of wound management and/or pressure ulcers
• Experience in research applications, grant writing and ethics processes
• Ability to liaise with consumers, health care providers and Industry, in the development of policies/guidelines
• Current role involves practicing, teaching, research or leadership in pressure ulcer prediction, prevention and treatment.
• Experience in coordinating and/or participating in committees at a state or National level

Education
Criteria for selection of members for the Education Sub Committee
• Advanced skills in education and or clinical teaching
• Experience in curriculum and education program development
• Knowledge of NHMRC guideline development processes
• Published author nationally in the field of wound management and/or pressure ulcers
• Experience in research applications, grant writing and ethics processes
• Current role involves practicing, teaching, research or leadership in pressure ulcer prediction, prevention and treatment.
• Experience in participating in committees at a state or National level
