Paul Hartmann/AWMA Advanced Wound Care Scholarships (2005)

Wound Management News

Paul Hartmann Pty Ltd and the Australian Wound Management Association (AWMA) are undertaking a collaborative venture to provide eight scholarships for AWMA members to attend the HEMI Advanced Wound Care Course in June 2006.

In 2006, one Scholarship will be awarded to one successful AWMA member from each Australian State and Territory.  The Scholarship includes registration costs for the three-day course, all accommodation, travel and meal requirements.  Funding of the Scholarship is by Paul Hartmann.

To apply for the Scholarship, you will need to complete and forward an application form along with a case study documenting your management of a significant or complex wound.  Your application must reach the AWMA by Friday 30th December 2005

The AWMA appointed Judging Panel will determine the successful applicants based on their ability to demonstrate the principles of best practice in modern wound care within their Case Studies, and their vision for sharing knowledge gained from the HEMI Advanced Wound Care Course with colleagues and patients in the workplace.  To enter the scholarship you must be an AWMA member and you will need to download the following documents from our website or contact the Scholarship Secretariat.

Application form: this form must be completed in its entirety and submitted, together with the Case Study, to the AWMA by Friday 30th December 2005.

Case Study template:  applicants must follow the guidelines provided within the template when preparing Case Studies.

Entry criteria:  this outlines the conditions of entry and provides contact details for submitting your entry.  Please read the entry criteria carefully before submitting your application.

The successful applicants will be announced at the 6th National Australian Wound Management Association Conference being held from 15th-18th March, 2006 at the National Convention Centre, Canberra.

If you require any further information please call Jenny Prentice 0417 914 355 or the Scholarship Secretariat 02 9436 2088.
