Course Synopsis: AWTRS 2010 is planned as a 2-day meeting (March 23-24), with a pre-conference workshop and conference dinner on Monday, March 22. The program includes basic and clinical research, and is cross-disciplinary in design ~ the title for the meeting is ￜCrossing the boundariesￜ. Our goal is to stimulate research and clinical outcomes by introducing new concepts, technologies and approaches ￜ to expose delegates to alternate means of approaching their research topic and experimental programs.
Invited speakers from Europe, UK, USA, Canada and Australia including:
- Professor Jeffrey Hubbell (Switzerland) - Tissue Engineering
- Professor Paul Martin (UK) - Wound Healing and Inflammation
- Professor Fiona Wood (Australia) - Systemic Response to Skin Injury
- Professor Prue Hart (Australia) - The Skin Immune System
Research Themes Include:
- Inflammation and immunity in wound healing
- Systemic responses in wound healing
- Fibrosis and scarring
- Advanced biomaterials and biotherapeutics
- Microorganisms and wound healing
- Pre-clinical models of injury and repair
- Chronic wounds
